Dr Halina developed a critical condition called pre eclampsia which could be fatal to mother and the twins if untreated . It usually occurs to pregnancy mothers at 34 weeks associated with high BP , puffiness and proteins in urine . The cause ? Many factors as age at 40 , twin pregnancy itself among others .The problem arises from the placenta itself involving the kidneys and liver and its important to bring out the twins as soon as possible . Steroids are given to help lungs maturity as the babies are only at 34 weeks . The plan is to do a Caesarian tomorrow but we are hoping to wait a little longer ... The twins are now at 2.2 kg and 2.4 kg with good heart rates and just couldn't wait to come out .... So are we but please wait a little bit longer .
