And if you take a look at the current statistics, it appears that Italy has recorded the highest number of Coronavirus-related deaths, even surpassing China.
However, it appears that some Italians can’t really grasp the concept of a lockdown and continue to carry on with their daily routine.
'You will die'
This has caused Italian mayor, Gianfilippo Bancheri, to record a video of him angrily scolding citizens and uploaded it onto social media. Needless to say, the clip has gone massively viral:Italian mayor addresses his citizens about their irresponsible behavior (in a very Italian way). “Doing your hair?! Why do you need this at the moment? A barbecue?! Are you kidding me? You are making a joke out of your lives!” pic.twitter.com/VVfiBeru3f

It’s not only his intonation in the clip, but also some of the things he said which may sound hilarious, but it portrays the reality of stubborn Italian citizens.
“Doing your hair? Why do you need this at the moment?” he started off.

“There are at most 20 regular runners in our city. How come everyone has turned to be a running enthusiast now?”
“I guess the last time you ran was when you were in primary school.”
It appears that this mayor wasn’t the only one who lost it; there were several other mayors who recorded similar videos criticising citizens who are roaming and gathering freely. (Warning: strong language)
My new favourite thing is Italian mayors and regional presidents LOSING IT at people violating quarantine. Here's an eng subtitled compilation. "I hear you wanna throw graduation parties. I'm gonna send the police over. With flamethrowers." #Covid19 #coronavirus pic.twitter.com/NbYuWePIVt

"Something else that drove me crazy is people secretly going to the beauty parlour. You will die all nicely waxed. But you will die." #Covid19 pic.twitter.com/SOiLpp5rwd
Most netizens were amused with the videos for the amount of ‘roasting’ the mayors did, and some couldn’t help but to feel like they were being scolded too.
Well, who knows; if there are a handful of stubborn Malaysians who still like to go outside for no reason (read: jogging), perhaps our PM Muhyiddin Yassin or the YDP Agong should do something similar to tell off these citizens.
