The swift actions of four men saved a woman from drowning after her car plunged into a large monsoon drain in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
Harian Metro reported that the incident took place yesterday (8 April). The woman, who is a doctor, was driving along Jalan Lintas Kepayan from Kota Kinabalu International Airport towards Lido at about 7 AM.

It is understood that the woman’s car, a Perodua Myvi, crashed into the rear of a tow truck, causing the vehicle to lose control before plunging into the monsoon drain.
Realising what had happened, the tow truck driver quickly jumped into the drain to help pull the victim out. Three other men who happened to be passing by also joined the rescue effort.
Thankfully, the men managed to pull the victim out of the vehicle just as the car became submerged.
The victim was subsequently sent to hospital to receive further treatment.
