In a post on Threads, one user shared how he had received a job through a delivery platform. However, what caught his attention was the remark left by the customer.

"Bro, you don't need to go anywhere. Just help me wake my husband up. He's in the house at the end with C6 written on the door. Please wake him up," read the request.

The user also jokingly wrote in the caption that, in 2026, the responsibility of waking up husbands had apparently been outsourced to delivery riders.

Not the first request of its kind

The post has since garnered attention from social media users. While many found the request hilarious, others shared similar experiences of receiving unusual requests.

"I once booked a Lalamove rider because I needed someone to help open my door from the outside. There was a problem with the doorknob even though the door wasn't locked, and I was in a rush to get to work. Thankfully, a Lalamove rider was nearby. He thought the request was strange but ended up helping me anyway, and we both had a laugh about it afterwards."

One user shared, "My boss would always book Lalamove riders just to help move their laundry out into the sun to dry, or bring them under the shade when it looked like it was about to rain."

"This is still normal. I once heard about a Lalamove rider who was asked by a customer to help locate a missing denture that had been lost in a shopping mall."

One user also shared an especially unusual request he received from a customer, who essentially asked him to act as a spy.

In a screenshot shared online, the customer instructed the rider to go to a specific address and locate a blue Renault. The rider was then asked to discreetly take a photo of the car owner with his girlfriend without being noticed.
