Things must be slowing down a little in Sant'Agata Bolognese and that’s prompted Lamborghini to launch its slowest but most affordable model yet that isn’t shy on volume. Limited to “just” 20,000 pieces, the Lamborghini digital stamp will be powered by Blockchain technology to keep it secure and tradeable… like regular stamps when humans hadn’t discovered the internet yet.
The endeavour is together with Bitstamps and each Lambo stamp is a ‘single’ digital object. Hence, the tradability part that allows you to swap it like our parents did with actual stamps. Collectors can purchase it, hold on to it and sell it on like a paper stamp but everything will be stored in the Bitstamps app.
So, what’s on the stamp itself? The Huracan Evo RWD Spyder of course. Since the Lamborghini factory reopened following movement restrictions and lockdowns due to Covid-19, the Huracan Evo RWD Spyder is the first model they launched.
Lamborghini is taking this digital stamp movement very seriously and will be immortalising over 20 of its most iconic cars with the format to form the Automobili Lamborghini Collection.
Fans and collectors of the series will be able to view the digital stamps and keep track of their collection via the Bitstamps app. In lieu of reselling the digital stamps, a marketplace will be developed and launched in the coming months to facilitate that process.
If you’re keen on getting onboard the digital stamp train, you can download the Bitstamps app from the Google Play and Apple App stores.
