‘The Matrix’ franchise first made its way to cinemas back in 1999 and it has since remained as one of the most integral part of pop culture even until today, thanks to its monumental success.

Over the years, thousands of people (including us) lost count of the times we tried to recreate Neo’s iconic 'dodging the bullets' scene.

And soon, that bullet-dodging fever may just return once again because ‘Matrix 4’ is reportedly happening soon.

According to The Verge, Warner Bros. has announced that the fourth ‘The Matrix’ movie is in the pipes - with Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss returning to reprise their roles as Neo and Trinity.

No one can ever replace Keanu.
Lana Wachowski will also return to the director’s seat and write the script for ‘Matrix 4’.

Her sister, Lilly Wachowski, however, will not be involved.

“We could not be more excited to be re-entering The Matrix with Lana,” said Warner Bros. Pictures Group chairman Toby Emmerich.

“Lana is a true visionary — a singular and original creative filmmaker — and we are thrilled that she is writing, directing and producing this new chapter in The Matrix universe.”

Variety reported that the fourth chapter of the ‘The Matrix’ saga will begin filming early 2020.

No word yet on when the movie will premiere or who else will be starring in it.

Name a more iconic duo, we'll wait.
The last installment of the movie was released in 2003, so we can’t wait to see what the filmmakers and producers have in store for us after 16 years.

One thing’s for sure, it looks like Keanu Reeves is on a roll this year after being declared the internet’s boyfriend and starring in multiple blockbuster films.
