While we know that there is a significant number of you out there who would chase after every horror movie release, there are some people who don't enjoy the thrill. No judgement here!

But if you do want to hop on the Halloween bandwagon and experience some chills, here is a good list for you to catch up on.

From horror comedy classics to bizarre post-apocalyptic worlds, these titles that will still give you the thrills this Halloween, minus the creeps.

'Daybreak'

Would you survive an apocalypse? 'Daybreak' suggests that you could crush the apocalypse if you have the right mindset: "with a winning attitude, you can conquer the world". Sounds like regular life, doesn't it?

The story follows an eclectic group of survivors as they navigate the strange and treacherous post-apocalyptic world of Glendale, California.

Part samurai saga, part endearing coming-of-age story and part Battle Royale, this genre-bending series is set in a city populated by marauding gangs of jocks, gamers, the 4-H Club, Disciples of Kardashia, and other fearsome tribes who are kicking ass as they fight to survive in the wake of a nuclear blast.

Streaming on Netflix from 24 October.

'Death Note'

'Death Note' is a great choice if you want to dip your toes into the realm of horror. Once you get past the ghastly Ryuk, then you're already halfway to a full-on horror film.

Based on the famous Japanese manga written by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata, 'Death Note' follows a high school student who comes across a supernatural notebook that holds within it a great power. If the owner inscribes someone's name into it while picturing their face, he or she will die.

Intoxicated with his new godlike abilities, the young man begins to kill those he deems unworthy of life.

'Little Evil'

'Little Evil' basically chronicles married life and parenting, or the fear of it, to be exact. From writer and director Eli Craig comes this off-beat comedy about love, family and also an Anti-Christ.

Starring Adam Scott, this movie tells the story of Gary who has just married the love of his life, Samantha, and is now the stepfather to her quirky 5-year-old son Lucas, played by Owen Atlas.

But he soon finds himself in increasingly odd situations around the child, which drives him to believe his new stepson may actually be the spawn of Satan.

'Scary Movie'

A Halloween classic, we can't leave 'Scary Movie' out of the list. Considered by many to be the movie that kicked off the whole horror-parody genre and many successful sequels, this hilarious scare-fest by the Wayans Brothers will leave you in stitches.

'Scary Movie' out-parodies pop culture parodies without filter on the most popular images and talked-about moments from modern classic films, television and commercials.

The movie also boldly shoots arrows at the classic scenes from 'Scream' and 'The Sixth Sense', and goes on to mock a myriad of teen movie clichés.

'Zombieland'

A spooky October favourite, 'Zombieland' stars Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, and Abigail Breslin. With Guns. And Zombies. That alone should convince you enough. With its sequel 'Zombieland: Double Tap' just around the corner, you don't want to miss this post-apocalyptic horror zombie comedy outing.

Quirky and irreverent, this dark movie starts with a dorky college student who teams up with an urban roughneck and a pair of grifter sisters to survive in a world taken over by zombies. They do this abiding by a list of survival rules and zombie-killing strategies as they make their way toward a rumored safe haven in Los Angeles.
