A new musical about the iconic princess will air on Netflix Inc in early 2021.



According to a report in Reuters quoting producers of the musical, after debuting on Netflix, the musical will be brought to Broadway.

A treat for theatre lovers

“We couldn’t be more excited to finally be able to share our show with theatre lovers everywhere."

“Though there is no substitute for the live theatre, we are honoured to be a part of the quality entertainment that Netflix provides its subscribers worldwide,” said the producers in a statement.



The musical will be about Diana’s courtship and marriage to Prince Charles and eventual divorce.

It was supposed to be open on March 31, 2020, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was delayed.

It is now set to open on May 25, 2021.
