We know everyone is currently in full ‘Avengers’ mode as the highly-anticipated movie will be out in less than a month. But have you ever wondered “What’s next?” for us after it ends?

The prospect of no longer seeing your favourite ‘Avengers’ or Marvel Cinematic Universe character on the silver screen seems quite daunting, but life must go on, sadly.

Many fans are left wondering what else Marvel has up their sleeves to offer post-‘The Avengers’ era?

Soon, we will bid goodbye to all of them.

Well, the next phase of the MCU will reportedly have a new wave of superheroes called ‘The Eternals’, as well as the return of some of the familiar characters in their own standalone movies such as ‘Spiderman: Far From Home’, ‘Black Widow’, ‘Doctor Strange 2’ and ‘Black Panther 2’.

So, what or who is ‘The Eternals’?

According to Entertainment Weekly they are “ridiculously beautiful godlike beings created by the Celestials as a force for good”.

Meet the new wave of MCU superheroes.
“The Eternals were guardians of Earth but clashed with the Deviants, who were creatures also crafted by the Celestials — as cattle for consumption.”

'The Eternals' is based on the Marvel comic book created by Jack Kirby.

The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed the first celebrity that’s currently in talks to star in ‘The Eternals’ is none other than Angelina Jolie.

Yay, Angie!
The movie, which has no release date as of yet, will be Jolie’s first foray into the superhero world.

No news yet on which character will she be playing but the storyline will revolve around “the love story between Ikaris, a man fueled by cosmic energy, and Sersi, who relishes moving amongst humans”.

We’ve all seen what a badass Angie is in ‘Maleficent’ so we can’t wait to see her as the next Marvel superhero!
