1. Hussin Fauzi Farm, Kuala Selangor & Shah Alam
This petting zoo has two branches: Kuala Selangor and Shah Alam. Here, you can pet and feed animals under the close supervision of the friendly staff. However, you must pay to feed the animals.
Some animals that you can find here include ostriches, deer, alpacas and camels. There’s also a stall selling simple snacks and beverages for visitors to rest up while filling their tummy.

2. Farm in the City, Seri Kembangan
Located in Seri Kembangan, this award-winning petting zoo boasts more than 150 species of animals. Some of the animals here, like the deer, alpacas, and tortoises, roam freely in their own zone. You can also purchase feed for these animals.
Not only that, this facility also offers a garden with 60 species of tropical fruit trees, plants and vegetables.

3. IOI City Farm, Putrajaya
IOI City Farm, located inside the IOI City Mall, Putrajaya, allows you to visit some animals while in the comfort of an air-conditioned mall.
From rare breed cats to marmosets and wallabies, there are plenty of interactive activities here for the whole family. There is also a pond where visitors can try their luck to catch some fish with nets provided. Before you ask, no, you cannot bring the fish back home.

4. Bukit Jelutong Eco Community Park, Shah Alam
This free-entry public park has its own trekking trail, suitable for beginners and kids. There are also gazebos and picnic tables provided for cosy picnics, or you can just lay out a mat and enjoy the greenery as you fill your tummy.
This community park also has a small animal park where you can visit animals like chickens, geese, and peacocks. Do note that although the park opens at 7 am, the animal park only operates from 8:30 am to 3 pm daily.

5. TheMINS, Kota Damansara
Nestled in the industrial area of Sunsuria Technology Park, this charming little zoo houses over 60 species of animals originating from Southeast Asia to South America and Africa.
Some of the species of animals you can find here include the Canadian marble fox, black-tailed prairie dogs, and miniature horses. As a bonus, if you're feeling hungry, you can drop by the in-house cafe called Luckbros Kopi.

6. Just Pets Megastore, Petaling Jaya
Known as the largest indoor petting zoo in Malaysia, this attraction is another petting zoo located inside a mall, Tropicana Gardens Mall.
Aside from housing animals like pygmy goats, meerkats and racoons, Just Pets Megastore also has a petting zoo specifically for dogs and cats. You can also bring your furkids here for a grooming session.

7. G2G Animal Garden, Serdang
Located in the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS), this petting zoo has various areas and over 80 species of animals.
For a small fee of RM10, visitors will receive a bucket of food to feed animals like alpacas, rabbits, and deer. This is a bonus if you are a cat lover, as this place also houses cats from different species.

8. Kebun Kebun Bangsar, Bangsar
This community garden is a unique blend of agriculture and animal interaction. Visitors can learn about the variety of organic vegetables planted here and also get close to the animals that live there.
