Instagram Is Thinking About Hiding The Number Of 'Likes' You See On A Post

Deny it all you want, but whenever you post a picture up on Instagram, the next thing you do is take note of the number of likes and comments you get because you probably spent a good hour or two editing it.

Or not. We're not judging.

However, don't you think that constantly keeping track of who did or didn't like your photo or video gives you anxiety?

In all seriousness, there are people who are obsessed with this because they take it as a form of validation from others, and that is not healthy.

Now, things could be taking a turn soon.

The Verge reported that Instagram could be considering hiding the 'likes' count on your posts, so others will not be able to see how many people have liked a post.

This was discovered by a code hunter by the name of Jane Wong who often looks out for testing features by Instagram and Twitter.

With this feature, you're the only one who can see the number of likes on your own post.

Although this doesn't really change the obsession over "who likes me and who doesn't", at least you can keep that information all to yourself.

However, Instagram told The Verge that they are not testing this feature at the moment.

"But exploring ways to reduce pressure on Instagram is something we're always thinking about," the statement said.
