In October, Malaysian fashion label Rizman Ruzaini made international headlines when legendary supermodel Naomi Campbell made her Dubai Fashion Week debut with the brand. She closed the show for the couture brand by donning a songket-inspired dress from their spring/summer collection.
It seems that the fashion show was only the start of a beautiful working relationship between the Malaysian fashion designers and the iconic English model as she has now worn their custom dress during this year’s Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah.
The film festival began on 30 November with 143 films being showcased from over 66 nations around the globe. She was among the many celebrities spotted on the red carpet at the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) premiere of “The Absence of Eden” on the festival's third day. The movie stars Zoe Saldana, Garrett Hedlund, and Adria Arjona.
As reported by Prestige Online, Campbell was seen glowing as she was ‘dressed in a dégradé sheath gown hued in deep burgundy at the bust, before graduating into an inky black at the hem.’ Complete with dramatic puff sleeves and a train, the dress glittered with the addition of colour-coordinating crystal embellishments, a trademark feature of all Rizman Ruzaini pieces.
Campbell has walked the runways for practically every fashion brand worth mentioning including Yves Saint Laurent, Prada, Chanel, Givenchy, Dolce & Gabbana, Christian Dior, Louis Vuitton, Hermés, and Valentino.

Congratulations poured in from Malaysians. “Watching this makes me proud as a Malaysian. Our most talented designers make things happen,” said a user.
Actress Elfira Loy said, “eeeei so proud seeing this” with a heart emoji.
