In another incident amid a string of major crimes occurring in Malaysian schools, a gang rape case has been reported in Baling, Kedah.

According to a report by CNA, four teenagers, including a former student of the school, have been arrested in connection with the case. They are also accused of circulating videos of the crime on social media.

Shockingly, preliminary investigations revealed that the four suspects had engaged in group sex acts from May to August in several locations within the school’s classrooms.

Baling District Acting Police Chief, Deputy Superintendent Ahmad Salimi Mat Ali, said the suspects, comprising one former student and three current secondary school students, were arrested on Sunday (October 12) following a report lodged by a man who was informed by a disciplinary teacher about the circulation of a nude video involving his daughter.

“All suspects were remanded for five days starting from the date of their arrest. Six mobile phones were seized for further investigation,” he said.

The case is being investigated under Section 375B of the Penal Code for gang rape, as well as for the distribution of child pornography.

This incident follows another disturbing case just last week in Melaka, where four students were arrested after two of them allegedly gang raped a 15-year-old student inside a classroom, while the other two filmed the act and kept watch.
