Kind M'sian Passenger Draws Praise for Offering to Drive After E-hailing Driver Says He’s Too Tired
Imagine riding a Grab late at night, and your driver suddenly tells you he’s feeling sleepy.
While most people might have lodged a complaint in such a situation, one Malaysian couple chose to be considerate and offered to switch places with the driver.
In a video posted on TikTok, a woman named Fara shared that she and her husband had booked a Grab ride to the airport in the early morning hours. During the journey, the driver asked for their permission to switch places, explaining that he was feeling drowsy.

Instead of arguing, Fara’s husband quickly sprang into action and took over the wheel for the remaining one-hour drive to the airport. Thankfully, they all arrived safely.
At the end of the video, as the driver helped the couple with their bags, Fara could be heard advising him to rest before continuing his shift.
She also shared that, despite the unusual circumstances, she chose to pay the full fare for the ride.
