Kuala Lumpur has taken the top spot in becoming the most popular global travel destination among Australians for 2025.

Based on the data from Booking.com and as shared by an Australian-based news portal, usual favourite destinations for Aussies like Fiji and Bali were voted out in favour of other Asian countries.

According to the news portal, searches for international flights to KL have tripled in number since last year. Thanks to non-stop flights operating from Sydney, Melbourne and Perth, plus AirAsia’s announcement of new flights from Darwin from June, travelling to KL had never seemed easier for Australians.
