Man Pulls Out Gun After Confrontation Over Smoking in Puchong Food Court

Despite the enforcement of anti-smoking laws in certain prohibited areas, including restaurants and other eateries, it appears that certain Malaysians are still taking it lightly and opting to challenge the law.

Recently, a 26-second video has gone viral which featured a heated argument between two men at a food court in Puchong which started because of smoking.

The CCTV footage which has been shared all over social media shows a man wearing a white round-neck T-shirt while a woman attempts to de-escalate the situation.

In another clip from another angle, the same man appears to raise his arms, revealing what appears to be a firearm tucked into his waistband.

According to social media, the altercation began when the man was confronted by the food court manager for smoking in the area.

It was reported that the smoker threatened the manager, asserted that he was “untouchable” and even pointed the weapon at the manager’s stomach.

The footage has gone viral on social media with netizens urging the police and the authorities to take action against the man and questioning how he had gotten his hands on the pistol.

When approached by the New Straits Times, Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said that no official report regarding the incident had been filed.

However, he urged witnesses to come forward with any information, emphasising the importance of reporting such confrontations.
