In a video that has since gone viral, a local man can be seen shouting at the influencer, telling him to leave as he was hindering the cleanup efforts.
The incident has sparked mixed reactions from both Malaysians and Indonesians. While many expressed sympathy and praised Aisar for his intentions, others felt he should have coordinated with local authorities to ensure a smoother aid distribution process.
“People are cleaning, and the garbage trucks couldn’t pass through because of this content creator. If you want to help, go to the community hall or find a suitable place—not just hand things out at the site of the incident. This isn’t helping; it’s making it harder for people to move around.”

“I’m not a fan of Aisar, but I think it wouldn’t take more than five hours for him to hand out the aid. So why can’t the cleaning resume after that? Why do people need to chase away someone who’s kind enough to offer help?”

For context, Bali was hit by what has been described as “the worst flood in a decade” last week. According to a report by Al Jazeera, the flood also affected other provinces in Indonesia and is believed to have claimed the lives of 19 people.
