While many would run away from the fire, one man, identified as Harvinder, did the exact opposite, he ran straight towards the flames to save an elderly Chinese couple trapped inside the burning house.
According to the post, Harvinder and his neighbour rarely spoke to each other despite living back-to-back. Despite that, he went out of his way and reportedly forced his way through the back fence of his neighbour’s house to save them.
“Not many would dare to do what Harvinder did. We do not know where his strength came from.”

It is understood that one of the victims, an elderly woman, was unable to walk, making it nearly impossible for her to escape on her own.
Harvinder reportedly carried both her and her husband to safety. Unfortunately, the fire claimed the life of the couple’s bedridden OKU son.
Harvinder and his family temporarily sheltered the couple and even provided them with food while helping to calm them down after the traumatic incident.
According to Uncle Kentang, the couple’s other children later handled matters regarding their brother’s death. Meanwhile, the elderly couple was moved to a hotel for temporary shelter before being cared for by their children.
