Travelling is an exciting way to experience new cultures, but it also comes with a responsibility to respect the places you visit. From following local rules to practising basic hygiene in public spaces, a little consideration goes a long way.
Unfortunately, not everyone gets the memo, and one recent incident at KLIA2 has left many Malaysians shaking their heads.

In the video, the man, who was wearing an orange shirt and a white cap, can be seen carrying the child with her bottom hovering over the rubbish bin so she could do her "business".
The video later showed that the nearest toilet was not far from the location. However, for some reason, the man could not be bothered to take his child there.
It is understood that the incident took place while passengers were waiting to board a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Penang.
The incident allegedly left the area with a foul smell, and passengers had no choice but to endure the stench.
Netizens' reaction
This was not the first time tourists had been caught treating public spaces like their personal toilets. As such, it came as no surprise that many Malaysians were furious over the father's actions.
"They didn't wash up after that? We can see now that it's their style not to wash after doing their business. Then when people called them out for being smelly, they got mad."
Another user said, "Even my cat knows to poop in its own litter box."

One user also shared their personal experience of encountering unhygienic travellers.
"When I was working at the airport, I saw a lot of things — people brushing their teeth while waiting for their luggage, changing clothes in the hall, peeing without closing the toilet door, and using tissue to clean themselves before throwing it on the floor. If I encountered these people back then, I would rather not use the toilet."
