M'sia's Kari Ayam Tops TasteAtlas's Global Stew Rankings with Stellar 4.7-Star Rating
TasteAtlas had unveiled their list of the top 100 stews in the world, and Malaysia's chicken curry managed to rank 1st with a generous 4.7-star rating.
In their short excerpt, TasteAtlas describe chicken curry as a popular dish in Malaysia and Indonesia. It's traditionally prepared in a clay pot which allows the ingredients to slowly develop their own rich flavour. TasteAtlas also recommended that chicken curry be served with rice.

Also included in the list was Indonesia's Rendang, which ranked 6th with 4.5-star ratings. According to the website, this Indonesian meat dish originates among the Minangkabau people in West Sumatra.

Other Southeast Asia’s dishes that managed to score a spot in this list include Thailand's Phanaeng Curry (2nd), which is a dish that best describes having a thick texture and salty-sweet peanut flavour. The name of this dish came from the word ‘panang’, which means ‘cross. It is said the name refers to the ancient way of preparing chicken with its legs crossed and set in an upright position.
