(REVIEW) Skechers x Demon Slayer Nezuko Monster Evo, Where Fashion Meets Fandom

In 2026, Skechers comes back swinging with its second Skechers x Demon Slayer collection-bigger, bolder, and packed with more character-inspired details across sneakers, Foami­es®, apparel, and accessories.

We got our hands (and feet) on the Monster Evo in Black Multi, the Nezuko Kamado colourway. Here’s our full review, and whether this pair slays as hard as its namesake.

A collab that has levelled up

Following its 2022 debut, the collaboration returns with a full lifestyle expansion. This year’s lineup spotlights fan-favourite characters like Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu, Inosuke, Mitsuri, Muichiro, Giyu, and Shinobu, each referenced through colours, patterns, motifs, and that iconic 滅 (Metsu) symbol.

The hero of the footwear collection? The Skechers Monster Evo (RM459), available for men and women, built with the brand’s signature comfort tech including Air-Cooled Memory Foam® insoles, flexible traction outsoles, and lightweight cushioning.

Beyond sneakers, the drop now includes Foami­es®, unisex apparel, tote and sling bags, and accessories, each piece tied to major Demon Slayer characters.

Every design carries a signature weave of anime references, from the 滅 (Metsu) symbol to sword-handle-inspired patterns, giving fans something instantly recognisable while still keeping the styling subtle enough for daily rotation.

Peak Nezuko energy

The Black Multi Monster Evo takes clear inspiration from Nezuko without looking like a costume. The upper leans on modern streetwear elements such as black overlays, sculpted panels, and a chunky profile, while her kimono details are incorporated in a subtle way. Pink accents tie back to her signature colours, the hemp-leaf pattern appears in stylised trims, and the red-and-white checkerboard adds a nod to her obi belt.

It’s a clever balance: the shoe carries enough from the anime to satisfy fans, yet remains wearable for anyone who simply wants a stylish, pink-accented chunky sneaker. Our verdict

The second-generation Skechers x Demon Slayer collection improves on the original in almost every way, offering elevated design, greater variety, and a more fashion-oriented approach. The Black Multi (Nezuko) Monster Evo stands out as a polished, comfortable sneaker that blends character inspiration with modern streetwear appeal. 

With its combination of comfort, detail, and everyday practicality, this pair earns a solid spot in any rotation, fan or not. This sneaker is clearly designed with Demon Slayer fans in mind, especially those who adore Nezuko, but it also appeals to anyone who wants a stylish chunky sneaker with a unique backstory. The design strikes an impressive balance between fandom and fashion, making it accessible even to those unfamiliar with the series.
