Fireman Who Was Putting Out Fire Attacked By Sarawakian Man For Allegedly Coming Late

If your house was on fire and the firemen came to help put out the flames, how would you respond?

Many would be in disbelief, utter sadness, and perhaps grateful that no one was injured or died during the fire.

But for one Sarawakian man, he decided to lash out to our abang bomba who was just trying to do his job.

According to Berita Harian, a fireman suffered injuries after he was attacked from the back while helping to put out a house fire.

The incident took place at Kampung Belipat, Jalan Punang in Lawas, Sarawak last Saturday.

In a clip that has gone viral, the enraged man threw a punch at the fireman and was hysterical.

Another guy in the back can be heard scolding the firemen for allegedly showing up late.

Following the attack, a fellow fireman immediately moved the water hose and sprayed the man down while shouting “what are you doing?!”.

Two police reports were lodged against the man.

A police report was lodged against the attacker but was then retracted a few hours later after the man apologised to the fireman.

Sarawak Fire and Rescue Chief Khirudin Drahman says the man failed to contain his emotions after seeing his house which has been passed on for generations burnt down to the ground.

We hope that the fireman will recover from his injuries soon and let this be a lesson to everyone else.
