Fly to Singapore From Subang Via Scoot 7 Times a Week Starting This September
If you live in the KL city centre and must take a flight, driving to KLIA 1 or 2 may save you precious time. However, as frequent fliers know, flight frequencies are much lower at the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang compared to the former. Happily, low-cost airline Scoot, a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, has now announced that it will start operations at the Subang airport from 1 September 2024 onwards.
The Subang airport is about 26km west of Kuala Lumpur, while the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is about 50 km south of the city. As reported by CNA, currently Firefly is the only low-cost airline that flies directly from Singapore to Subang and vice versa.
However, the low-cost subsidiary of Malaysia Airlines operates that route out of Seletar Airport and uses an ATR72-500 turboprop aircraft.

There will be seven flights weekly each for the Subang-Singapore and Singapore-Subang routes. These flights will operate on Scoot’s Airbus A320. Prices for a one-way economy class flight from Singapore to Subang start from S$83 (RM288) and RM108 from Subang, including taxes.
For those wanting to make bookings in advance, you can check out the flights on their official website and mobile app on the Play Store or App Store. There are also plans for travellers to book flights using other channels.
The airline already flies to other Malaysian destinations, including Ipoh, Kota Kinabalu, Kuala Lumpur, Kuantan, Kuching, Langkawi, Miri, Penang and Sibu.
Earlier this week, Indonesian carrier TransNusa also announced daily flights from the Subang airport to Terminal 3, Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta, Indonesia.
