Miss kicking a ball outside until the ghosts chase you home?

You don't have to reminisce the good ol' days anymore, as you can now play sports such as futsal, badminton, basketball and others, till 2am, Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced during his daily press conference on 22 September 2020.

Who exercises so late into the night, you may ask. Well, we had the same question. Apparently, there are people out there who love to sweat it out till the wee hours of the morning. #can'trelate.

Courts (not the kind that deals with legal issues) can remain open till 2 a.m.

Ismail Sabri said that operators that deal with indoor sports such as futsal and badminton have lodged complaints, saying that most of their customers only arrive after the Maghrib or Ishak prayers.

"If it's after Ishak, they will probably only start around 9pm. Three hours...then they will have to close although many teams are involved.

"So, the special meeting today has agreed to allow sporting activities to be extended till 2am," he said.

Don't forget the SOPs

Recently, the government had also announced that food businesses and convenience stores can remain open till 2am as well.

Although movement restrictions are being relaxed, the number of COVID-19 positive cases are still at a worrying level so let's not forget to stay vigilant; wear your masks in public places, maintain physical distancing and practice good hygiene.
