Late to Work Because of a Train Delay? Get a Slip from RapidKL to Show to Your Boss
Japan is known for its punctuality, especially when it comes to its trains. However, accidents sometimes occur, leading to delays. Their railway staff then apologise for the delay and even hand out ‘certificates of lateness’ as proof to be given to your employee. They even show the time and date of the delay.
Did you know that you can also get a similar cert from RapidKL if you rode the LRT, MRT, or Monorail? X user @_aidaans wrote, “Today I learned that RapidKL issues train delay certificates upon request. Here's mine, retrieved due to this morning's disruption.”
The cert includes the date, time, which line the passenger wrote on, a station stamp and the staff's signature. If there is a delay of more than 15 minutes, you can head to the station's counter to get the cert.

It includes the four main lines in the Klang Valley, including the LRT Ampang/Sri Petaling Lines, LRT Kelana Jaya Line, KL Monorail Line, and MRT Sungai Buloh-Kajang Line.
In a tweet, the @AskRapidKL page also confirmed that you can get the cert from them.
So don’t worry that your boss will reprimand you the next time you are late!
