M'sian Influencer Remanded Over Alleged Sexual Messages to 14yo Girl, Here's Everything We Know So Far
A Malaysian social media personality, widely known as "CEO Batu", has been thrust into the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. The 22-year-old influencer is now under police custody after being accused of sending sexually explicit messages and images to a 14-year-old girl.
The case, which surfaced through a viral exposé by local artist and activist Caprice, triggered widespread public outrage and raised urgent concerns about the safety of minors in digital spaces. Authorities have since launched a formal investigation, and the influencer has been remanded for four days as police gather evidence and testimonies.
Here's everything we know so far about the case:
How the case unfolded
The controversy erupted after local singer and activist Caprice posted screenshots on Instagram, allegedly showing inappropriate conversations between the influencer and the underage girl. The messages reportedly included lewd photos and sexually suggestive texts, which the influencer later claimed were meant to show surgical scars.

According to Caprice, the victim’s mother had contacted him, asking him to share screenshots of the incident. In a WhatsApp chat, CEO Batu—recently discharged from the hospital—offered to show the 14-year-old girl his surgical scars near his appendix. After she agreed, he sent a photo that also exposed his private parts.
When the girl didn’t respond immediately, he asked if she was upset or uncomfortable. She replied that it made her feel uneasy, prompting him to apologise and promise not to repeat it.
Apology to victim's mother
In another screenshot shared by Caprice, CEO Batu had apparently messaged the victim’s mother to apologise. He claimed the explicit photo was originally intended for his girlfriend and that he had accidentally sent it without cropping out his private parts.
"I’m begging you. To meet with you. I made a mistake. That photo was supposed to be cropped, but I overlooked it. I had already taken the photo to send to my girlfriend. But my mistake was that when I sent it to your daughter, I didn’t crop it."

He went on to plead with the mother not to pursue legal action, saying that going to prison would ruin everything he had worked for. He also mentioned having elderly family members who depend on him for support.
"An apology is not enough for what he did"
The mother of the 14-year-old girl said she discovered the inappropriate messages after checking her daughter’s phone. She emphasised that her daughter never told her directly, and she was heartbroken upon finding the messages.
“There was clear evidence, and it involved my own child—how could I stay silent?” she said in a TikTok video.
She clarified that she never intended to ruin the influencer’s career, stating that any loss of income or contracts was a decision made by his management.

The single mother also shared that her daughter was traumatised by the incident. She criticised CEO Batu’s behavior, saying her daughter was simply being polite and didn’t understand the context of his messages.
“What’s wrong with you? The girl was being polite, even said ‘get well soon uncle,’ and then you suddenly asked if she wanted to see your scar," she shared.
When asked if she would forgive him, she firmly said no: “Even if he cries tears of blood, an apology isn’t enough.”
Second alleged victim speaks out
A second minor has also come forward with similar allegations. According to Caprice, the girl contacted him shortly after the first case went public, sharing screenshots of a conversation where CEO Batu asked if she wanted to see his appendix scar.

He then sent a photo that also exposed his private parts. When the girl expressed discomfort, he apologised and promised not to do it again.
Police action
According to reports, CEO Batu turned himself in to the police on May 23 and is currently being remanded until May 26 for investigation under Section 15 of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017.
Meanwhile, the Gombak District Police confirmed that the suspect was arrested after the victim’s mother filed a police report.
