This M'sian Vendor Sells More Than 100 Varieties of Breakfast Items for Only RM1
While many businesses had no choice but to increase the prices of some of their products due to the rising cost of goods, one vendor in Kuala Terengganu decided to sell his products at just RM1 each.
Anuar Hamzah, 55, has been operating a street stall in front of Masjid Al-Ikhlas, Kampung Banggol Tuan Muda, for the past year.

Starting his business as early as 6:30 am daily, Anuar offers more than 100 varieties of pre-packed food and drinks, including traditional kuih, various rice dishes, and beverages supplied by around 40 different vendors.

He was inspired by the rising cost of living

In an interview with Harian Metro, Anuar shared that although his profit margin is slim, he feels satisfied knowing he is helping to ease the burden of his customers, especially those with large families.

“Families with many children are often financially strained when it comes to buying meals in bulk. With breakfast costing only RM1 per item, I'm confident this helps reduce their overall food expenditure."
"Even though the profit is small, as long as everything sells out, it still brings returns,” he said.
Beyond helping customers, Anuar's initiative also supports local vendors. Despite the rising cost of goods, these vendors maintain the quality of their meals so they can still be sold at RM1.
