Not too long ago Pos Malaysia came under fire after news broke out that they would not be giving out annual bonuses to its staff this year.

Netizens were angered as they felt that our Abang Posmen and PosLaju have worked so hard as frontliners throughout the Movement Control Order (MCO).

And now, Malaysians are ticked off once again after the postal service posted an announcement regarding delays due to the surge of parcels.

It appears that Pos Malaysia is still experiencing a surge of parcel volume especially in East Malaysia.

“In view of the above, there are potential delays in parcel deliveries during this time. Rest assured that we are working tirelessly to maximise our capacity, to ensure deliveries are carried out as soon as possible,” Pos Malaysia wrote in a statement.

They then apologised to customers in East Malaysia and asked them to be patient and said due to the limited availability of flights, there may be delays.

According to Astro Awani, Pos Malaysia Sarawak receives about 19,000 parcels each day and sees an increase of 35 per cent of parcels each day.

To date, there are only 110 registered Pos Malaysia riders in Sarawak.

Keep up the good work, guys!
Netizens were mostly upset with the statement and questioned the management of the company on how things are being carried out as the MCO has taken place for months.

Others suggested that customers start using alternative courier services and perhaps PosLaju should change their name to PosLambat.

Well, we hope Pos Malaysia will get things together and employ more people to resolve this long-standing issue.
