Cases of local bus drivers going rogue are not something unheard of in Malaysia. In fact, it happens every now and then. This group of ‘bad seeds’ often give a bad impression to bus drivers and local bus operators.

Some impatient bus drivers who can’t wait to get to their destination or are probably fed-up with the traffic often drive recklessly and put their passengers’ lives in danger – sometimes even causing horrifying accidents and deaths.

Last Sunday, a woman by the name of Tunku Khalsom Ibrahim shared her harrowing experience about an enraged bus driver who allegedly threatened her and deliberately tried to cause an accident along the Kuala Lumpur-Genting Highlands highway.

The post was originally shared on her Instagram and then on her Facebook account which has so far garnered over 14,000 views.

The red bus with the license plate WWU 5909 can been seen driving recklessly at an alarming speed and weaving between lanes.

Watch the video below:

According to Khalsom, the incident happened on 18 March when she and her mom were travelling along the highway. All of a sudden, the bus allegedly “came flying into the tunnel in the fast lane.”

This prompted Khalsom’s mom, who was driving a pick up truck, to honk at the bus in an effort to remind him to slow down.

However, this triggered the driver who began chasing after them. The bus started honking at them, changed lanes without signalling, and tried overtaking their vehicle.

After the bus overtook them, Khalsom then reminded her mom to slow down as they were travelling with Khalsom’s one-year-old baby as well.

According to Khalsom, the bus driver then kept slamming on his brakes and at one point, the bus was also seen intentionally ‘eating’ into their lane in an attempt to ‘squash’ them.

The bus driver was also seen directing a hand gesture at them in the video.

According to The Star, The Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) has since responded to her Instagram post and said that action will be taken against the bus driver.

We hope that the authorities will take stern action against the bus driver in hopes that such incident will not take place again.
