Johnny Depp may have had a rough year following his lawsuit against the British tabloid and his ex-wife, and that ultimately caused him some of his most iconic roles in Hollywood.

Fans would know by now that Depp will no longer play Jack Sparrow in any of the upcoming ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ (POTC) films.

The upcoming ‘POTC’ reboot will reportedly be lead by Margot Robbie with a girl-power storyline.

Johnny Depp back at the seas?

The one and only.
Honestly speaking, Disney wouldn’t have a successful ‘POTC’ franchise without the man who made a character so iconic, which is why producer Jerry Bruckheimer is trying to get Depp a cameo role in the reboot.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bruckheimer had plans to bring Depp back, but Disney unfortunately “balked” at the idea.

The Mouse House has distanced itself from the 57-year-old actor following his domestic abuse case despite overwhelming support from his fans.

Fans have even launched a petition that gained over 1.5 million signatures to get Amber Heard removed from ‘Aquaman 2’ following Depp’s forced exit from ‘Fantastic Beasts’.

Heard will return as Mera for 'Aquaman 2'.
Heard was also recently reported to be in talks with Robbie for a role in the reboot, which sparked further rage among Depp’s fans.

It is said that the ‘POTC’ reboot will premiere in either 2021 or 2022.
