Our childhood days will be returning because Woody, Buzz Lightyear and the rest of the gang are making a comeback, for real this time!

After five years of rumours and suspicion, Disney and Pixar have finally confirmed the release date for Toy Story 4.

The studios first hinted another sequel for everyone's all-time favourite animated movie in 2014 but no further development was given.

Then in 2015, Toy Story 4 was postponed to 2018 because the team was still working on the script. One year later, the movie was pushed back yet again to make way for Incredibles 2, which was going much smoother than the former.

Now, looks like the film's production is going well because the director Josh Cooley confirmed on his Twitter that the movie is scheduled for release on 21 June 2019.

We miss you, Woody!
Toy Story 4 is set after Andy heads off to college and Woody, Buzz and friends join a new family. That's pretty much all we know for now. So, hopefully we'll have some new information later this year!

Do you think we'll see new toy characters this time?
