In the latest instalment of the Fast and Furious franchise, Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel, as if you didn’t already know) is living a life not a quarter-mile at a time. With him on this very idyllic road is Letty and his son, little Brian. Of course, this isn’t a movie you bring with you a box of tissues because as we all know, Dom cannot sit still.
And so Mr. Toretto travels around the world to save his brother, Jakob (John Cena) who just so happen to be a super-assassin and a high-performance driver. High revving car chases, massive explosions, out-of-this-world stunts and fisticuffs ensue.
Yet, Han's return cannot be ignored. How did he survive? Where has he been all this time? Did he crashed into an alternate Earth? Could this be his twin? Why did he choose to return now? We don't know. The only thing we do know is this — he now drives a Toyota Supra in the same colour scheme as his wrecked Mazda RX-7.
Justin Lin directs the Fast and Furious 9 (who also directed Fast and Furious 3, 4, 5 and 6) and will open in Malaysian cinemas 21 May 2020.
