You can kiss your productivity goodbye now because Candy Crush is getting its own TV show!

Believe it or not, that highly addictive mobile game that everyone was hooked on for the longest time (and till today for some) has been adapted into a live action competition series.

And of course, it will be a lot more challenging than just swiping the candies around on your phone screen.

Hosted by Mario Lopez, the show will feature contestants competing in teams of two to play what seems to be a giant, interactive game board of Candy Crush.

Besides that, the rules are basically the same. Just match the candies, win some points, defeat some obstacles in the shortest time and stand a chance to win USD100,000 (RM428,000).

That’s a lot of cash for crushing candies!

Candy Crush premieres in the United States on 9 July.

So any local TV station out there wants to replicate this format? We don’t mind playing a bit of giant Candy Crush because honestly, we need a good game show on Malaysian television right about now!
