This Couple Recreated Scenes From ‘Crash Landing on You’ for Their Wedding Photoshoot

Those who watch K-dramas will know that ‘Crash Landing On You’ was a mega hit, starring A-listers Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin who had so much chemistry that they actually went on to get married in real life! A Malaysian couple, Benjamin Wong and Megan Chin loved the drama so much that they decided come up with their own wedding remake titled ‘Crash Landing in Malaysia’.

Their production is not just some amateur video shot on an iPhone: Benjamin works in the events industry while Megan is attached to Disney. It’s impressive how much dedication they must have put into shooting the videos as they sport very similar outfits, which must have been hard to obtain considering that the original drama was mainly set in North Korea.

In the video and photos, they recreated some memorable and heartwarming scenes from the drama, such as when Captain Ri had to go to lengths to obtain coffee beans to make pour over coffee for Yoon Se Ri.

Despite being shot in Cameron Highlands, they could have fooled us that it was actually shot in North Korea. Benjamin shared, “It's a fun and event-themed wedding which we think people could also replicate and do now that the pandemic is easing. Weddings don't have to be a pain, it can be fun activity with your partner.”
Wow, to think that most people just shoot theirs in a random park and call it a day! Malaysians, please start putting in more creativity to your pre-wedding photoshoots too!

Their actual wedding ceremony was also no ordinary affair as it was Oscar-themed and was inspired by several movies including recreating movie posters for ‘Crazy Rich Asians’, ‘A Star Is Born’ and ‘Skyfall’.
Their first dance as a couple wasn’t any ordinary slow dance—they put on an elaborate Dirty Dancing-themed performance. They also showed their love for the StarWars franchise complete with an Imperial March-In with the full medley of stormtroopers and lightsabers. They even cut their cake with a lightsaber.
Talk about couple goals!
