A huge fan of the late superstar

An artist from Penang gave a fitting tribute to his favourite actor, Tan Sri P. Ramlee, by incorporating coffee beans into an artwork of the legendary star.

According to a report by Malay Mail, Michael Foo Chee Meng, who grew up watching P. Ramlee movies, used 620 coffee beans to create the artwork.

“As a Penangite, I am very proud of P. Ramlee and his contribution to the film industry. I’ve always admired his talents such as his singing and acting," he was quoted as saying.

Foo also told the news portal that his parents encouraged him to watch P. Ramlee's movies such as 'Madu Tiga', 'Bujang Lapok' and 'Tiga Abdul' when he was young.

And now, in turn, he's also made his children watch his movies. Talk about maintaining the legacy, right?

Foo shared that he used coffee beans from local coffee brand Sin Boon Kee to create the portrait, and it took him one day to complete the portrait.

And here's the bad news: Foo has no intention of selling his artwork.

"As of now, I will not sell my artwork and I plan to frame it up in my room.

“It’s a great feeling to see my artwork completed. I am extremely satisfied with it,” he was quoted as saying.
