Ever since the COVID-19 pandemic broke out, a lot of people have been selling their own version of facemasks.

Some are pretty unique, some are super functional, some are just for show.

Many of you may worry if the facemask you’re wearing complies with the Health Ministry’s standards.

Well the Radzuan Radziwill X Gempak facemask line recently passed the lab test by Eurofins Scientific Malaysia.

With increasing interest in reusable fabric face masks, many countries started to develop standards to ensure their proficiency.

Among all specifications by regulatory body, Microbial Cleanliness (MC) and Bacterial Filtration Efficiency (BFE) are the most crucial tests for fabric face masks.

The MC test determines the total number of viable microorganisms (bacteria and fungus) on the face mask while BFE test determines the filtration efficiency by comparing the control bacterial counts to the face mask effluent counts.

Astro’s Merdeka Mask was tested and validated for both MC and BFE, passed for Type I compliance with ≥95% of filtration efficiency by Eurofins.
