You know things are bad when even a 'pontianak' is showing up to receive her vaccination.

Well, not literally, because that would be scary af.

They scare because they care

A lot of Malaysians have been getting really creative when it comes to 'dressing up' when heading to their vaccination appointments.

Remember popular blogger back in the day, Kenny Sia, who turned up at a vaccination center dressed up as a dinosaur?

Well, another sporting Malaysian has also decided to get in on the fun - by dressing up as a 'pontianak'.

A ghostly surprise.
A short video showing an individual showing up at a vaccination in full 'pontianak' get up has gone viral on social media recently.

In the 20-second video, the 'pontianak' can be seen strutting confidently into the vaccination center, much to the delight (and horror of the Facebook user who was recording the video) of those present.

As the 'pontianak' approaches the registration counter, the Facebook user can be heard saying "Takut! (I'm scared)" repeatedly.

The 'pontianak' then let out a shrill laugh before sitting down, as those sitting behind him/her clapped and laughed at the individual's antics.

Here's the video, which has raked up more than 665,000 views to date:

A+ for effort

Turning up to receive a vaccination shot in a costume is one thing, but the amount of effort that went into the 'pontianak' costume is just out of this world.

To make the get-up realistic, the still yet-to-be-identified Malaysian wore a blood-stained-gown, maintained an unkempt long black hair, painted their face black and even wore red contact lenses.

We'll give this individual an A+ for effort.
The best part of the get-up? The individual wore a black face mask with a set of menacing-looking jagged teeth printed on it.

Hey, go big or go home, right? We hate to be the person who unknowingly bumped into this individual in the toilet.
