Tan Sri Tony Fernandes, Founder of AirAsia somehow always manages to make the headlines whether it’s for being shirtless while getting a massage during a management meeting or for flying on a rival airline.

This time, he posted a throwback video on Instagram from Chinese New Year showing himself using ‘high tech’ to give angpao to his 2000 All Stars (AirAsia employees). It was actually a riding suitcase and Tony was all decked out for the occasion as he donned a red and black samfoo paired with a Mandarin hat and false braid.

Tony was seen handing out angpaos to his staff as he wished them ‘Gong Xi Fa Cai’. Compliments poured in his comments, with user paulalike saying, “Gong xi fa cai *laughing emoji*.

Boss, you are so handsome in your red dress. User kogulakrishnanrasu commented,

“Never seen an owner of a company and CEO like you! Very user-centric!!” Whether you like him or not, you have to agree that there are no other bosses quite like Tony.

In another video, Tony asked his followers to ‘comment in you got ang pao from me”. He was seen visiting staff at the gym and even during meetings. His staff clapped and appeared to be delighted when they saw him. He even made sure everyone got one, asking, “Everyone got?”

Tony even rode to KLIA2 to pass out angpaos to lucky travellers and security guards. Some even took the opportunity to take a selfie with the well-known entrepreneur. Tony appeared to be enjoying himself as he zoomed around on the riding suitcase. When asked by a staff, “Can we ride this one?” He laughed and replied “No.”

Tony even handed angpaos out to foreigners, telling them that it was a Chinese tradition.
