Malaysians are a talented lot, and many of them remain undiscovered due to the lack of opportunity.

However, when an opportunity presents itself, they shine.

'It sounds wonderful'

A self-taught pianist became a social media sensation when several video clips of him putting on a public piano performance were shared on social media.

The man, who goes by the name of AmirullahMz, decided to show off his talent by using a piano that’s set up in the middle of the new BookXcess bookstore at the MyTOWN Shopping Centre.

Anyway, AmirullahMz's delivery of a cover of Olivia Rodrigo’s heart-breaking song “happier” on the public instrument captivated Malaysians who were browsing the shelves at the bookstore.

His performance was so captivating, a small crowd started gathering near the piano to watch him play:

AmirullahMZ received more love and praises on social media-sphere when he uploaded a short clip of his impromptu performance on Twitter, which has since gotten almost 300,000 views.

“I was so nervous, so I messed up a lot,” he wrote.

Netizens obviously didn't think so, as they lavished praises on AmirullahMZ for putting on a spirited performance in public:

Not his first public performance

That was not the first time AmirullahMz wowed onlookers with his public piano performance though.

Back in April last year, he also managed to give another rousing performance when he was spotted playing a public piano at the International Youth Centre (IYC) in Cheras while he was on a break working as a delivery rider:

That's a pretty amazing talent you have there, AmirullahMz.
