Indian tourist falls into a sinkhole that suddenly appeared in KL

On 23rd August, Vijaya Lakshmi Gali, 48, a tourist from India fell into an eight-meter-deep sinkhole that suddenly appeared while she was walking to a temple with her family.

For the next nine days, the search and rescue (SAR) team tirelessly looked for the victim, but unfortunately, the search was called off due to safety concerns. The victim's family expressed gratitude to the government and the SAR team for their effort. They had since returned to India on 1st September.

Paris Olympics 2024 Opening Ceremony dubbed ‘worst ever’ by netizens

When the Paris Olympics 2024 had its opening ceremony, many were left shocked by the display of imagery and elements of LGBT. Additionally, many also felt like the performance was making a mockery of the Christian faith.

As a result, a spokesperson for the event, Anne Descamps offered an apology and highlighted that the performance had nothing to do with any religion.

Malaysia brings home two bronze medals from the Paris Olympics 2024

During the Paris Olympics 2024, team Malaysia brought home two bronze medals in badminton.

The dynamic duo Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik, who won two sets against Denmark in men's doubles, contributed the first bronze medal. Lee Zii Jia, who won two sets against India, contributed the second and final medal
