In times of need, it is always a great sight to see people from all walks of life coming together to help those in need.

The small city of Taiping has decided to all jump in and help the needy.

Giving back to the people

Coming together to help those in need.
The Taiping Municipal Council is embarking on a new project to give back to the community: feeding the homeless and the poor once a month.

According to a statement from the council quoted by Malay Mail, the initiative aptly called 'Projek Beriani Jumaat' is part of its community project and set to begin on 26 March.

The first feeding will tentatively take place at the Galeri Perbandaran Taiping at 11am, the Council said in the statement.

“The menu chosen is nasi beriani with chicken.”

“Besides its delicious taste, a meal of nasi beriani symbolises the privilege of celebrating Friday,” it said.

And here's the good news: you can help out too!

According to the Council, they need a total of RM500 every month to run the 'Projek Beriani Jumaat', so if you have the means, do consider contributing to them.

On top of that, the Council is also currently on the lookout for people to join them in the project.

Let's show everyone just how kind we Malaysians can be.
