The cops will be questioning Prasarana chairman Tajuddin Abdul Rahman for not wearing a face mask during the (disaster of a) press conference he had on the recent LRT accident.

Confirming this, the chairman replied that he only removed his face mask so that it would be easier for reporters to hear him.

“I was told the face shield was good enough,” he said to FMT when contacted by them.

He said that he donned a face mask when visiting the LRT tunnel and walkabout and only removed it during the press conference so that he could be heard.

“I am sorry if the face shield was not good enough,” Tajuddin added in the report.

Not an ordinary shield

“The shield is not an ordinary shield, (it was) specially ordered from a reliable source.”

“But how do you talk during a press conference with a face mask? So, I thought a (transparent) shield would be better,” he said.

We're really not buying this lame excuse and we hope the authorities don't buy it too.

Honestly, taking into account what he said, maybe it would have been better to have a face mask on to muffle out some of the "statements".
