Accidents happen all the time, and it can happen any time, any where and to any one.

Unfortunately for one security guard, this accident might cause him his job.

Collateral damage

Wow, that's unfortunate.
According to a report by New Straits Times, the incident happened at a bank in Jalan Bandar Baru Rawang last Sunday (27 August).

The security guard had reportedly just finished using the bathroom when he accidentally dropped his shot gun on the floor.

When he bent over to pick it up, he accidentally fired a shot.

The buck reportedly struck the 57-year-old manager, who was standing nearby, in the right arm.

He was immediately rushed to the Selayang Hospital, and thankfully, he was not badly injured in the incident.

He is reportedly now in a stable condition.

As for the poor security guard, he has reportedly been detained and is currently being investigated under Section 37 of the Arms Act 1960.

Gombak police chief Assistant Commissioner Arifai Tarawe told the daily that the 26-year-old security guard has a carry and use licence for the firearm.

Let's hope the bank manager is A-OK.
