In the olden days, our parents and grandparents used to find their way around unfamiliar roads by reading the road signs and relying on physical maps.

Now, most people would be completely lost without navigation apps such as Waze and Google Maps.

While it is extremely handy, these applications are not always reliable, though, as discovered by a man in Indonesia.

According to a report by Malay Mail quoting a report in Tribunnews, the man recently relied on Google Maps to find his way to his wedding location.

An epic mix-up

The man and his entourage, however, were directed to the wrong event, and none of them realised until much later.

Not realising the mistake, the bride's family even went as far as exchanging gifts with the man, all while the bride was busy getting her make-up done.

The 27-year-old bride Ulfa told the Indonesian portal that luckily, one member of the group realised that they were in the wrong house.

Coincidentally, Ulfa’s actual fiancé and his entourage were late to the party as they had to stop to look for a toilet.

“I was shocked when I saw the man’s group as I did not know any of them,” she said.

Once they realised that they were in the wrong event, the group apologised and found their actual wedding venue with the help of Ulfa’s family.

We still don't get why the groom himself didn't realise the blunder (perhaps it was an arranged marriage?) but we're glad that Ulfa and the lost groom are happily married to their respective partners now.
