Despite being bombarded with negative news these past couple of weeks (ugh!), it's good to know that there are Malaysians out there who are making the country proud.

The latest being the Malaysian contingent at the 2019 Kazan WorldSkills Championship (WSC2019), who came home with nine Medallion of Excellence medals.

According to a report by Astro Awani, the participants managed to pass their respective modules and achieve competency level in nine skills.

A special mention deserved to be given to Hanafi Osman, who entered the ‘Best of Nation’ level in the field of technological fashion.

In the World Junior Skills category, Aiman Afiq Suradi brought home a bronze medal in the 'Drone Operating' skills challenge.

Showing off her skills.
Held every two years, the WorldSkills Championship brings together young people, industry, government, education, and institutions to challenge their skills at a wide variety of categories such as robotics, automotive and hospitality.

WSC 2019 was held from 22 to 27 August at Kazan, Russia and this year saw 24 Malaysian participants in 19 skill fields.
