If you are a Maybank user, take note of this development.

Beginning March 15, Maybank will no longer be generating SMS TAC (transaction authorisation code) for selected online transactions on Maybank2u.

According to a report by The Star, Maybank will be using Secure2u instead.

No more TAC.

This service will be used for authorisation of bill payments and Interbank Giro (IBG) transfers via Maybank2u.

Safer and more convenient

In a statement, Maybank also assured that Secure2u is safer and more convenient to use.

Transactions can be processed using Secure Verification (one-tap approval) or Secure TAC (six-digit TAC number generated on the Maybank2u mobile app).

Secure TAC also allows users to approve online transactions on the Maybank2u website by using the six-digit TAC number from the app.

In order to activate the service, you will have to download the Maybank2u MY app on Google Play or Apple App store.
