When you work in a bank, especially one situated on a higher floor, you would naturally only be expecting to see and meet human beings, whether they are your customers or colleagues.

Employees at a bank in Jalan Dato Keramat, however, were truly shocked when they 'visited' by a monitor lizard recently.
Surprise visit.
According to a report in Free Malaysia Today, the monitor lizard climbed up to the bank, which was three floors up from a drain on the ground floor.

Abang Bomba to the rescue

Upon realising the presence of the 'visitor', bank employees quickly alerted the Fire and rescue Department about the situation.

“The lizard appeared to be tired and did not put up a fight when we used a net to lasso it.

“Monitor lizards can be aggressive, and its nails are very sharp and can injure people,” Jalan Perak fireman Mohamad Hafiz Fazil told FMT.

A video of the unexpected incident was widely shared on social media platforms by netizens.

We hope the poor lizard is ok.
