A used car business owner’s intention to sell a luxury Lamborghini was thwarted when the vehicle was seized by the Road Transport Department (JPJ) after it was found that the Motor Vehicle License (LKM) had expired for 15 months.
The action was taken during an Ops Luxury inspection at the Kuala Lumpur–Kuala Selangor (Latar) Expressway exit ramp at about 10:05 AM yesterday (28 December).

Selangor JPJ Director, Azrin Borhan, said investigations revealed that the 34-year-old man was on his way to Setia Alam for a transaction involving the vehicle.
According to him, initial checks found that the car failed to display a front license plate.
“Further inspection revealed that the LKM and insurance for the car had expired for 15 months."
“He claimed he did not renew them because he intended to sell the car,” he said.
He added that checks also showed the driver had previous offenses, including failing to comply with speed limits, driving without a license, and having an expired probationary driving license.

Following this, the vehicle was seized and taken to the Enforcement Station (SPK) in Ijok for further action under the Road Transport Act 1987.
Meanwhile, Azrin emphasised that JPJ Selangor will continue monitoring and enforcement based on all complaints received.
“This is to ensure that every vehicle on the road complies with the rules and laws set,” he said.
