There's now a new way to settle all your saman online.
The police have launched a new portal and app called MyBayar Saman - and just to get everyone on board, they're even offering a 50% discount for summonses.
Launched by inspector-general of police Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador today (25 March), the new portal and app is meant to allow the public to settle their traffic summonses fast.
According to the Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT)'s Facebook page, the 50% discount on summonses is applicable from 25 March to 11 April this year.
Several options for users
According to PDRM, to use the service, all you have to do is visit mybayar.rmp.gov.my or download the app on your phone.
It's supposed to be available on both Android and iOS.
At the time of writing, we tried looking for the app in the App Store but had problems finding it.
We also tried to register through their website but kept getting error messages instead.
Maybe there's just too much traffic directed towards the site for now? We'll probably try again later.
Meanwhile, a friend who managed to register using the website said that all you have to do is log in and you will be able to see all your summonses.
Then click on which ones you want to pay for and settle it.
