During a global pandemic, travelling to other countries is almost unimaginable as most have travel restrictions in place.

Understanding this, a Taiwanese airport has come up with a brilliant way to let people imagine that they are flying to their dream destinations - without actually doing it.

How?

According to a report in Reuters, Taiwan’s Songshan airport offers ‘travellers’ a fake itinerary where you check in, go through passport control and security and even board the aircraft.

Just hanging out in a plane.
The only difference is that the aircraft never leaves.

Thousands attracted by fake flight

The report said that around 7,000 people have applied to take part in the fake flight programme.

Fake it till you make it?

Actually, there’s a reason the airport is organising this ‘fake event’.

It wants to show off renovations completed at its facilities while passengers were locked away at home due to COVID-19.

Avid travellers must have been happy with the fake flights!
